CUR!OUS

Almost everyone has heard of screen printing, but few understand how many steps and hours it takes to get to the fun part – pulling the squeegee for the final prints! The Intro Workshop is a fun place to get started and you'll walk away with items you screen printed with your art. The Good Ink option is specifically for nonprofits in need of shirts who are doing good things in the world and supporting social issues.
Intro to Fabric Screen Printing
Workshop will cover all the steps to complete a 1-color print on fabric. Even though the workshop will focus on fabric, 80% of it will apply to paper.

Overview:  workshop will start with everyone doing a test-print then a demonstration on how to coat screens. From there each person will have a pre-coated screen and expose their own 1-color image. Art is required to be submitted a minimum of 3 days ahead of workshop. You may bring up to 6-8 items to print your image on, but you will need to choose 1 color of ink to screen print on all the items you bring. Items need to be smooth with no zippers, pockets, or seams in the print area as it will give unexpected blotchy results. More details once registered.

Amount of time: 2.5+ hours / Size: 4 person max
Age: 16+ or accompanied by at an adult who is also registered
Cost: $75 per person / test item included / shirts not included
Option to Keep Screen:
$35 to keep 18x20 screen to print at home
